Brunel's ss Great Britain 40th Anniversary
This summer visit Brunel's ss Great Britain at the harbourside in Bristol for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the ship's return to Bristol from the Falkland Islands in 1940.
The celebrations start with a new exhibition from July 17 (to 2011), ‘The Incredible Journey’ where you can turn back the clocks and listen to the memories of those who rescued the ship from the Falkland Islands and witnessed her return, and view the stunning new animated film. You can also descend under the glass 'sea'; step back in time in the Dockyard Museum; see, hear, touch and smell what life was like for Victorian passengers and crew on board Brunel’s ss Great Britain.

The Ryder Cup - 1st to 3rd October 2010
Golf's most prestigious tournament, the Ryder Cup, is to be staged at Celtic Manor, Newport from 27th September, with the tournament taking place from 1st to 3rd October 2010.
