Set in a rural location and convenient for local churches, BEST WESTERN The Gables Hotel is a delightful setting for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions.
We offer a variety of rooms for your wedding, to suit small intimate parties or larger celebrations of up to 150 people, but whatever the size of your party or budget you will receive the same friendly and professional advice. The day will be individually tailored to your requirements by our experienced wedding coordinators who will be happy to advise you on every detail of the arrangements to ensure that your wedding day will be happy and carefree; you can relax and enjoy the company of your guests whilst we take care of the rest.
We can also arrange exclusive use of stunning private gardens for photos of the newly weds, subject to availability.
Civil Weddings & Partnerships
Three rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies so you can enjoy the whole of your special day at The Gables. Whether a small intimate wedding or a larger and more formal affair of over 100 guests you will still receive the same meticulous attention.

Wedding Open Evening - Thursday 16th February 2012
From 6.30 until 8.30pm you are invited to come along and see our Bristol Suite fully dressed for a wedding ceremony. You will also be able to view the four poster bedrooms and chat to our experienced team who will be on hand to advise you on every aspect of your very special day.

Hog Roasts from £20 per person
A stalwart of medieval banquets, hog roasts are a great addition to any party, giving a real wow factor, and we are delighted to be able to offer our own hog roast in addition to our normal banqueting menu. At a hog roast, our Chefs oversee the cooking and carve the succulent spit roasted meat, (plus crackling to die for!) and serve it to your guests with a range of accompaniments. It’s good to look at and tastes delicious!
