Berkeley Castle is one of the most remarkable buildings in Britain and possibly the most outstanding example of Mediaeval domestic architecture in the country. Where other Castles were romanticised or "modernised" by the Georgians or the Victorians, Berkeley quietly survived as what it is: a Norman fortress with an enclosing curtain wall, built and enlarged through the mediaeval period and beyond into a secure, comfortable, substantial home with courtyards, towers and battlements to explore.

A place of architectural intrigue, quaint gardens and sprawling parkland there is much to see and do at Newark.
Now open and ready for boarding, Aerospace Bristol tells the amazing story of Bristol’s world-class aerospace industry and gives you and your family the chance to step aboard a British icon, Concorde Alpha Foxtrot. Designed, built and tested in Bristol, she was the final Concorde to be built and the last to fly.
Capable of crossing the Atlantic in under three hours, Concorde cruised at over twice the speed of sound and reached an altitude of more than 60,000ft. Her passengers would marvel at the curvature of the Earth, as they travelled at 1350mph and sipped Champagne on the edge of space.
With Concorde Alpha Foxtrot as its show-stopping centrepiece, Bristol’s newest major attraction takes you on a fascinating journey through time: from the earliest days of flight, when Boxkite biplanes flew over the Avon Gorge, through to the modern day, revealing the latest technologies and the secrets of today’s aerospace industry.
Don’t miss your chance to join the ranks of those fortunate enough to board Concorde and immerse yourself in an inspirational story of ingenious design, engineering innovation and remarkable social history.
