Fabulous facilities

Our rooms cater for celebrations of up to 150 guests and the Bristol Suite and Brackenbury Suite feature a private bar so your event can be totally private.

The spacious Lounge Bar with its open fire place and comfy seating is perfect for pre-dinner drinks before your meal – make sure you take a look at our new gin menu which features some delicious speciality gins!

We understand that food is an important aspect of any event, so our Chefs have put together a range of tempting menus, from finger buffets to banquets, which can be tailored to suit you and your budget, and we are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements.

Versatile Bristol Venue

The Gables is one of the most versatile of Bristol venues, and offers everything you might need for private venue hire, including different meeting rooms to suit all budgets and to accommodate different numbers. In fact, the hotel boasts 8 different meeting rooms, all located on the ground floor for easy access, and all benefiting from natural light. The Gables provides refreshments for attendees as well as all the equipment a meeting or group might need. 

The largest is the Bristol Suite, which can accommodate 200 attendees in a theatre setting, and is able to host 130 people for a luncheon or dinner. The large room has its own bar and even allows vehicles to be driven into the room directly from the car park, ideal for car themed shows. The Bristol Suite, as well as some of the other larger meeting rooms can be arranged in different set ups, depending on the type of celebrations, meeting or conference taking place, and if necessary the Bristol Suite can be divided into a series of smaller spaces.

When using the Gables for private venues, hire Bristol residents and those visiting from other areas of the UK also enjoy competitive rates. Day rates start at £30 per attendee for a day's meeting or conference in one of the venue's eight rooms, while a day package starts at around  £145 per person; that rate includes the daily use of one of the meeting rooms as well as meals. Extras, including TV and video services, a flipchart and screen are also available; prices for video and TV begin at £75. Rates are often lower during the Easter holidays, on bank holidays and during the summer.
